Thanks to the PTA for organising another fab disco!

We really enjoyed the summer fair this year and luckily we had great weather! Thank you to the PTA for their part in making it all work so well.

Well done to all the children who took part in the PTA walk. Even though it wasn't a short walk, they all found that they had enough energy to continue when they found out they would get a medal!

The PTA organised a Spring Disco this year which we all enjoyed. There were some fantastic dance moves!

Some of the children explored Ingleton Caves at the weekend and met Santa. It was a wonderful day!

The PTA movie night was, as always, a great night. Everyone enjoyed watching Christmas films and eating popcorn and hotdogs.

Everyone enjoyed the PTA movie night. Along with watching some great films we also had a play outside, movie snacks, hotdogs and a fantastic fruit kebab.

We all had a great time at the PTA disco. We really enjoyed doing all the actions and showing off our moves. And of course the sweets!

The PTA organised another fantastic trip to see Santa in Ingleborough Caves.

We had a great night at the PTA movie night yesterday. Lots of us were very comfy in our onesies!

What great costumes at our Halloween and Bonfire Night PTA disco!

We all had a wonderful time at the PTA disco last night! What fantastic dance moves!

Children, parents and staff all had a great time on the PTA walk.

The PTA took some of our children to visit santa and his elves at Ingleborough Caves.

Sunday 12th July Family Fun Walk

Each year the PTA arrange a family friendly fun walk, this year we walked from Silverdale Railway Station to Arnside. It was a beautiful coastal walk of just over 7 miles. Take a look of our photos of the day...

The PTA organised a visit to Santa and his Elves at Ingleborough Caves on 14th December...

Sponsored Walk

43 Parents and children from the school took part in the 2nd annual sponsored walk to help raise funds for some outdoor equipment.
Every single child completed the 8 mile circuit but a special mention must go to Ben, Holly and Taylor all from Year 1 and the real hero of the day, four year old Freya from the reception class.
Special thanks to Tina Riley for all the driving round she did and supporting the group around the route. We wont mention the name of the teacher, who got into Tina's car two miles short of the finish.
Thanks to all who took part or supported us with sponsorship, and we will let everyone know how much we have raised as soon as all monies are collected.
The weather was excellent, the tide was out and all the children had a fantastic time as you can see from the phographs.

The Friends of Nether Kellet School organise fundraising events to raise money for specific items or trips that enhance the children's education and experience at school. For example, brand new guided reading books for all children to use in their guided reading sessions.

Events over the past couple of years include:
Summer fairs

Christmas bingo
Sponsored bouncy castle

Film nights
Bag to Schools collections

The PTA also organise the school float at the Nether Kellet Field Day which was linked to the space theme studied in school this year.

Money raised by the PTA has paid for picnic benches, interactive whiteboards, canopies in the playground, play equipment, cameras, pantomimes and trips.
